Greytown Arts Festival has an exciting line-up for Labour Weekend 20th -22nd October. Attracted by the challenge of the Festival concept of ‘The Last Piece’ a variety of artists, musicians, writers and marionette designers/makers and even storytellers have been busily devising their Last Pieces to perform or exhibit over the weekend. Greytown will be an exciting place in October.
Glistening Waters Festival of Storytelling program is small but varied and will include a Workshop and performances by CLare Coburn of Melbourne, performances by and for Junior Storytellers ably supported by Hella Coenen, Marama Fox and Mary Buckner. Adults will be treated to some wonderful stories by Gaye Sutton and the epic story of Te Haerenga a tale of identity, three life journeys that embrace the civil rights movement in America, the rise of Te Reo in New Zealand and the changing roles of Kiwi men. It will inspire and amuse you and give you pause for thought.
